I just burn the tips of my fingers when I took a pan lid What can I put on them to stop blisters?
I have run in the cold key, and still stings like hell.
Just keep your fingers under running cold water for at least 10 minutes, do not put creams on burns or bandages! This Sting and may blister yet! Good Luck
The process of going through your used cans and removing all of the lids on each one of them can be a long and tedious tasks that can force you to waste a lot of your precious time that could be spent doing other things in the kitchen or house. Now you can make that process quicker and easier by using an electric can opener which runs off of it’s own power source instead of relying on you to do all of the work. This can opener has a number of benefits that have made it far superior than the traditional style openers.
The most important benefit that the new style of can opener provides to you is the speed at which it is able to remove the lids from cans of all sizes. The opener locks onto the can and zips through the metal with ease and can move at a rate which far exceeds the rate at which you would be able to crank a manual opener around the can. So all of the time that you would spend cranking and turning on the opener to remove the lids on cans is drastically reduced.
Another benefit of the electric can opener is that it puts less stress and strain on your hands, wrists, and arms. Turning the old style openers can sometimes be hard on you physically and may cause you to strain yourself if you’ve got many heavy cans to go through. The newer style openers are capable of doing just about all of the work, including turning the can, so the level of physical effort that is required on your part is reduced to a minimum. This helps prevent strain or injury due to overworking yourself while partaking in this activity.
There is also an increased level of safety that is now provided by the newer style can openers. Safety guards have been installed on the newer style electric can openers which prevents you from being cut by the can lids that are removed when the cutting process is taking place. Also, as the lids are being cut off, the newer style can openers are built to dull the remaining edge. So the sharp edge that used to be created by the old style can openers will no longer exist. The chance of being cut by sharp edges has been greatly reduced.
If you are still using that old clunky can opener, you may want to consider purchasing a new can opener. They are much safer, faster, and easier to use and in the long run will help make your can opening process much more pleasant.

Can you still cook a pot roast without cover?
I cook my pot roast in my pot roast Pan and I already have there with vegetables and everything. I just noticed that the top of my pot roast has gone well. Is there anyway I can still cook like maybe just cover with aluminum foil or something thus. Any ideas. I do not want to go to the store or because it is sitting here ready to go in the oven.
My mother always covered pots "lidless" with a plate of food. If you have heavy stoneware or ceramic (In other words, not china!) Just use one that fits in the pot without falling in Be careful when removing the plate.

Glass Lids
Where can i new uniform source of glass jars with lids for jams, chutneys and pickles. Free or very cheap?
I'm trying to start a cottage industry produces homemade jams, pickles, chutneys, etc. home with fruits and vegetables grown to make some extra money. The recession is hitting Hard to our family! Need extra cash to newspapers. I did last year and put the burden on friends. The result was very positive. (And I asked them to be brutal and very honest!) I would appreciate any advice and how to go about selling / Venues / etc Thank you.
The only way to get cheap, relatively cheap, buy in bulk, bulk and in glass by buying by the case to a minimum. They simply are not cheap. You can search the network of "jars of glass. "You will not find in the wild. If you are in food packaging them for resale, you have to be new and I can not imagine where they are all new glass bottles to be offered the same thing, no more than a few at a time. Check for the rules for the sale of these products where you live. The sale of them instead of giving it away is another game entirely. There may be things that are not authorized to sell, if done in the kitchen at home. You may need a business license. You may have to take a "food safe" type of course. You must have insurance – What if someone claims to be food poisoning from one of its products? Search for local craft fairs and farmers markets to sell to, and of course we can go around to local stores and see if it will take a few of your things to see if they sell.
