Another FANTASTIC book from one of my favorite Outdoor Authors

Our family is so thrilled to see books by one of my favorite outdoor author, the Outdoor Princess, Kimberly Eldredge. We have used her recipes on family camp-outs and picnics and with our scout group. The recipes are easy to recreate, and many double and triple with no issues. So far, I have gotten our family of 8 to try new camp foods and everyone has really enjoyed both prepping and eating using these recipes. This book is a must have for any size family who loves to camp, hike and picnic. My husband recently made the Frito Pie from this book for his scout group. The best part is that I could download it on my Kindle!!

Try the Pulled Pork

The author doesn’t apologize that you make the Green Chili Pulled Pork in a slow cooker and then heat it up at camp and I like that. I’m glad somebody finally figured out that to do EVERYTHING in camp is silly — spend a bit of time prepping to make the camping trip more fun.

Another recipe that I’ve tried and really liked was the Easy Jalapeno Poppers.

And my kid made me a version of a watermelon martini last Father’s Day. It’s good with or without alcohol so I really recommend that one.
