This price is cheap, and there is a reason why: the quality is cheap. The handles are very light and do not hold the blades very well. The collets that grip the blades are soft plastic and allow the blades to wiggle and pull out from the handle. The blades themselves are not terribly sharp.

You would be much better served by buying one or two good knives (like X-Acto brand) and a pack of replacement blades. Don’t waste your time with this set.

same as other reviewer. blades and handles are pretty flimsy and don’t hold too well. they do work, just not half as well as the x-acto brand product. they aren’t too sharp so i will be using them for rough work, i’ll leave the intricate cutting to my xacto set.

This unit is just great! I have an old Exacto set and this set is just so much better, the price is a lot less for what you get also! The sharping stone was a great bonus! I used to discard the blades, now I just resharpen them after each use!
I am building several Viet Nam era 1/35 model, Figures, and decoramas! This set is and has been great to shape, style and set these small parts.
