Hard Anodized

Interior is hard anodized Cookware better than ordinary non-stick cookware and why.?

Looking for something for my family not to scale if someone is a little hard to clean. Which is better?

Hard anodized utensils is good, durable cookware. You do not have to worry peeling anything. However, most will not be anti-adherent. When it comes to sauces and such will not be too difficult to clean. I would not recommend for eggs, pancakes or starchy foods. Most of my cookware is Calphalon Infused Anodized, which is a little less sticky than the hard anodized. Without But I still stick pans that are 3 eggs and such. I cook the chicken and the steak in my kitchen infused. It is designed to deliver the food when cooking is done. To make cleaning easier, usually throw a little hot water into the pan and scrape with a spatula to loosen it. Friend Barman is a great way to keep pots and pans that looks great, but not use it on non-stick surfaces. In all honesty, I would recommend having a bit of everything. All have their advantages. Stainless allows you to see color change of food (ie for sweets and rues) and the kitchen every day, but it involves more effort in cleaning and can scratch. The anodized (hard or infusion) are good for everyday cooking with a little effort to clean, but does not scratch as easily as steel. Non-stick is great to what I mentioned above. I have learned to invest in stainless steel and anodized and spend less on non-stick. No matter what the brand can get what all the flakes with time. Some brands have better warranties. Just a tip. No matter what brand or type you are. DO NOT USE PAM or something. Sprays stick to your pans making sticky film forms a layer in skillet. Try to avoid the dishwasher at all costs, even if the pans say they are dishwasher safe. The bleach in the breakdown of detergents from the surfaces of your kitchen much faster than they would normally.

Broadly speaking, thee are three types of fans available in the market for your electronic equipments and automobiles- AC fans, Muffin Fans and DC fans. If you ask me which among these three is the best, I would not bat an eyelid and say DC fans. Though much like Muffin fans, DC fans have longer life expectancy as compared to muffin fans. Reasonably priced, DC fans generate low noise because they run at less than their maximum speed, making them more efficient and longer lasting.

Color Choice

What is a good all-around choice for color spray, when you know what color dress to match?

My date of Homecoming is refuses to tell me your gown, for some reason, I have to order your bouquet soon. Can anyone tell me what a good all-around choice of color and style would be?

I can not really help with the style, but for color I would say that the pale colors. White, pale yellow and pale pink specific. Have fun.

Color is a major player in the design world and rightly so because of the effects it has on the entire room and decorating project.  But deciding on the right color scheme is sometimes where most people get stuck.

Selecting a color scheme can certainly be a real challenge even to design professionals.  Which means total frustration to most of us beginners.  But wait, don’t fret just yet…  you are about to learn more about color schemes that will help you think like the pro’s.

Understanding color and how it affects your moods and feelings is the key to unlocking the mystery of color.  Did you know that color can excite you, make you feel happy, comfortable, relaxed, anxious and even sad? 

Color can also make small spaces appear larger and large spaces appear smaller.  Color can make or break your entire design project.  Color can even make or break a sale.  Yes, color is an extremely powerful tool in the design world and in your personal world as well.

Let’s start with the basic color wheel.  It was designed to teach us the relationships of color.  You’ve heard of Designers talk of color schemes and their relationships.  The color wheel helps us with this.

On the color wheel you’ll see primary colors (red, yellow, and blue) evenly spaced between secondary colors (orange, green and violet).  Then there’s the third or tertiary colors, which mixes the adjacent or analogous colors and lastly the fourth or quaternary colors.

The most basic color rule is that colors are either warm or cool.  Warm colors advance or pop out while cool colors tend to recede or move away.  Are you drawn to warm colors like reds and yellows?  Or cool colors like blues and greens? 

Warm colors are inviting, comfortable, relaxing and intimate.  Cool colors are refreshing, more reserved, relieves and calms. 

If you draw a line down the middle of the color wheel, warm and cool colors will be on opposite sides of each other.  Every warm color has a cool compliment.

So how do you decide on your color choice?  Once you’ve narrowed down your selection (and I would add at this point to narrow down your selection to three choices), take the paint chips or samples home. 

Most paint companies now have larger paint chips so that you can experience your color samples effectively.  I take it a step further by purchasing my top three paint colors in the pint size (not gallon size) cans and painting each color on a poster board.  (The paint chips are just not large enough for me.)  I then tape these poster boards on my wall in the room to be painted.  I live with these three colors for a few days… experiencing daylight and nightlight. 

You see lighting has a major effect on color.  Both daylight and nightlight will change the look of your color, guaranteed.  So live with your color choices on these poster boards for a few days and then you will know for sure which is the best color for your color scheme.

Some people ask me if it’s ok to paint accent walls, or to have one or two colors in the same room.  I say absolutely.  Color scheming is not just about choosing colors that you like, but choosing likable, livable colors that produce dramatic effects.

That’s what accent walls do.  Choose a color that pops, add excitement and works well with the other colors in the room.  You can also switch accent colors from room to room.

There’s really no set rule but you do have to choose livable colors that relate well with the color schemes already around you.  Some colors just don’t work well together, and that’s what you want to avoid.

That is why paint manufacturers arrange colors sympathetically- in close relationships that enhance each other- in their paint decks (books of paint chips you can purchase from the store).  By fanning the paint deck out, you can choose related colors more easily.

Now if you don’t like the idea of multiple related color schemes in your home, you can choose to use a whole-house color scheme by sticking to one color.  This one-color continuity scheme can make a small room seem larger and give a sense of harmony and serenity.

One-color schemes called Monochromatic come in two varieties – you can use a single color, or tonal variations of one color.  Monochromatic color schemes are considered very chic and quite contemporary in fashion.

Most commonly used monochromatic schemes are white and beige but beware – white and beige tend to highlight any flaws.  You want to make sure all your whites and beiges are either cool or warm and inject patterns and textures for added interest.

Here are some tips to remember:

To make a room look larger- use light, cool colors. 

To make a room cozier and inviting, use warm colors.

To make a ceiling look higher, use white or light colors.

To drop the ceiling and make lower, use darker colors.

Some say the best all-time rule to follow is this:

Your primary areas – floors, walls, and ceilings – should receive neutralized colors in a range of values.  Make the floor the darkest surface, the walls medium, and the ceiling the lightest value.

Your color schemes start with your choice of fabric, upholstery, and furniture selections.  All should relate with each other.  Of course other components to consider within the space are the window treatments, rugs, carpet, tile, and accessories like lamps, pillows, vases and so forth.

Don’t let all this scare you.  Start with the furniture showcases to see what really lights you up.  Take notes, bring your magazine tear-outs.  It will be clear to you soon enough what you like and dislike.  Your color scheme will begin to emerge just like you will, into a beautiful room that says this is YOU.

Is it safe to reuse a copper-bottomed stainless steel pot lining that burned with boiling water for too long?

I was boiling water and forgot that he was boiling water. When I remembered, the water boiled dry and burnt copper (gray and faded orange on the bottom that's easy erase) and the inside bottom of the pot has rings and spirals of gray / black. Should I pull the boat away or can I reuse? I am primarily concerned about toxins.

It's probably best to throw it away and get a new one. In the future, you should try to be more careful, as copper pots are expensive to replace and this was an accident very preventable. In terms of the quality of any thing you can try to cook in the pot, is likely to find at least some sort of burned taste from the pot, especially if the burn penetrated all the way to the inner surface. Regarding security, the main concern would be whether or not the copper in the pot is left is more or less likely to dissolve in water. The human body does not need copper and can deal with it in certain amounts. Once you passed that point, you can begin to develop copper poisoning, which can be harmful. That is why we should avoid putting vinegar in unlined copper as copper acetate can form acid in vinegar. This also is why some other foods should not be used on bare copper utensils such as copper-based compounds can form. I am not now nor have I ever claimed to be a chemical, but you might have chemically altered some of the copper by burning it. Despite this, it is likely that the copper could be kept intact more prone to leaching off food from now. You should probably just chalk this experience and to replace the pot just to be on the side sure. Even if the bread is safe from a chemical standpoint, is likely to shed at least some qualities burned foods cooked in it. There are also the problem of the trace (emphasis in TRACE) quantities of what was in the water at the time was boiling.

For level 60+.

This is a guide on how to train efficiently on lesser demons and it is meant for the use of F2P high leveled training. If you are a member you can use this method but as a member there are many better options.

Now you might be asking, “Why lesser demons?”Well as a F2P player myself I’d like to testify that lesser demons are arguably the best monster to train on for high leveled F2P characters. (Cockroach Soldiers are also another option but you’ll see why Lesser Demon’s are more viable later on in this guide) If you have reached a high level like level 90 or so then you might want to consider training on hell-hounds and greater demons if you are not afraid of the wilderness…

Back to the reason of this guide and the main question in your head, “Why lesser demons?” Here are some of the best reasons why:

They can be found in Karamja volcano and this is nearby a very good food source…. the fishing docks on Musa point. (the part of Karamja accessible by free players) All you really need to bring is either a harpoon or a lobster pot. From experience I’d like to say that you must rather bring a lobster pot if you fishing level is low. I’d wait until you are level 65 finishing before trying to bring a harpoon to get swordfish as it will take too long to get enough otherwise. You will not need to bring a hatchet or tinderbox unless you are on a completely empty world or if the people on the docks are very selfish.

Most of the time they will make fires to cook their own fish so you can use those, and if no-one is cooking then ask when you have a full inventory and most of the time some kind bloke will come and help. This means that per training trip you will have to spend NO money on bringing food! This also means that you will not have to take trips back to bank as often! (You will eventually have to bank because of getting drops and filling up your inventory)

Another reason is that the lesser demon’s themselves are low in defending ability and high in hit points! Excellent for training as they let you hit often and hard, optimizing the experience you get per hour. If you have finished demon slayer silver light will help by weakening the demon but a rune longsword, scimitar or two handed one works just as well. (if not better) They give about 316 experience per kill and sometime higher if you take long to kill them as the regenerate hit points quite fast. There are six lesser demons in the mountain by the lava just below the deadly red spiders which is more than enough to share with 4 or so people. If you are a ranger or magician there are many, and when I say many I mean MANY safe spots to attack the demons from. By the lesser demons you’ll also find three bone spawns and four fire rune spawns. There is also an interesting purple demon closest to the deadly red spiders.

The last reason for training on them are the drops! Lesser demons have wonderful drops and over time you might even get a rune medium helm or two! Here is what they drop: (all of these are in order of rarity)

100% Drop:Ashes (pretty useless and only worth 7 coins)

Gold Drops:Anywhere from 10 to 450 coins.

Weapon Drops:Steel Scimitar, Steel longsword or a steel hatchet. (If you bring nature runes you could high alchemy these from the fire rune drops)

Armour Drops:Steel Full helm, Mithril Chain-body, Mithril Square Shield or even a Rune Medium Helm! (I would suggest to high alchemy all of them except the rune medium helm as most of them don’t sell in the grade exchange)

Rune Drops:Fire Runes (30 or 60), Chaos Runes (12) and Death Runes (3)(Fire runes are good for High alchemy if you have level 55 magic)

Other Drops:Gold Ore, Jug of wine and uncut sapphires, emeralds, rubies and diamonds. (in order of rarity)(A jug of wine could keep you there for a little longer without having to go back and fish but BEWARE it does lower stats)

On a last note, the lesser demons are level 82 so they ALWAYS are aggressive to any player for the first 15 to 20 minutes around them. After this they will ignore you and not auto-attack. (If you leave into the deadly red spiders area and come back, they will be aggressive to you again.

A general rule is that try to be on a server where there are one or two more people in case you die. Ask them to repair your grave until you come back to get your stuff. This has happened to me once and was level 85. (I have dual screen and I wasn’t paying attention to my hit points. So I ended up with 6 hit points left before I noticed but then it was too late) Just don’t forget to pay attention to the demons or you might find yourself back in Lumberbridge.

So many of us use herbs and vegetables from our gardens for regular daily cooking. It’s much more practical to plant those species close together for quick picking. When you’re tossing up a fresh tomato salad, it’s so handy to have the tomatoes, green onions and basil planted close together. All you have to do is pick, throw in a bowl, add some olive oil and your salad is ready to go. The only thing you have to be concerned with, is that all those plants grow under the same relative conditions.

Here are some ideas for themed planting schemes that the cook in your family will love.

Pizza Garden

Coincidentally, many common pizza ingredients thrive under the same sunny, well watered conditions. Some examples include tomatoes, red and green peppers, onions, jalapenos, basil, oregano, thyme and parsley.

Begin with an 8-foot circle of dirt and divide into equal slices for each plant. Put a border around your pizza garden with bricks, or plastic edging.

Suggested quantities for your plants include:

basil – 3
oregano – 1
seed onions – 12
peppers – 3
jalapenos – 3
thyme – 1
roma tomato – 1

The tomatoes should be planted in the northernmost section so that it won’t overshadow the other plants.

Salsa Garden

This can easily be planted in a container and displayed on the deck, right outside the kitchen. Include two hot chili peppers, one golden tomato, one beefsteak tomato, cilantro, and one tomatillo plant.

Spaghetti Sauce Garden

For this you’ll need a good supply of tomato plants and then you’ll have plenty left over for freezing. Start with 5 romas, 5 beefsteak or jet star tomato plants, 3 basil, 1 oregano, 1 thyme, and garlic.

Salad Garden

Keep a good supply of crunchy salad veggies and herbs nearby. Start with 3 plants each of different lettuces such as romaine, ice berg and leaf lettuce. Also include 3 tomato plants, 6 green onions, 1 radish, 2 basil, a row of cucumbers and any other veggies you enjoy.

Tea Garden

I love having a fresh supply of herbs on hand to pick and add to a cup of hot water for tea. Some of my favorites include chamomile, bee balm (also has pretty red flowers, but if you use the leaves this is what Earl Grey tea is made from), catmint, lemon balm, mint (dozens of varieties – even chocolate), and spearmint.

Pie Garden

Imagine making a pie from berries and fruit picked right out your door. Easy growers include:

Blueberries and currant bushes: Plant a whole row just like a hedge.

Strawberries: These are great planted in a container, on a slope for ground cover, or in rows as a decorative border. In the spring they’ll be covered in white flowers and in the fall the leaves will change to a lovely russet shade.

Rhubarb: This can be planted right in your flower bed or side by side with purple leaved ajuga or other ground cover.

Raspberries: Once you start these hardy plants, they’ll grow like weeds. Be sure to choose the ever-bearing species that produces fruit from midsummer to frost. They grow well in light to medium shade so will not take up all your sunny garden real estate.
