Cuisinart Chef’s Classic 14 Piece Stainless Steel Cookware Set
Iron Chef America is a series which has been adapted from a Japanese cooking show called ‘Iron Chef’. The original Japanese version of this series was premiered in October 10, 1993. This was a Fuji TV production in Japan. The Japanese version of this series ended on September 24, 1999 although occasional specials were aired up till 2002. The Japanese series ran for a good 300 episodes.
This series was picked up by Food Network in America and dubbed in English. Americans loved this program and Iron Chef became one of the most watched Japanese series dubbed in English in USA. The program is a culinary game show where in every episode a challenger chef battles with the resident Iron Chef in a timed cooking competition. It was not just cooking but cooking with specific theme ingredients and it had to be a multi course cuisine which needed to be prepared in one hour’s time.
There were two one hour episodes of the American adapted version of the Iron chef aired around Christmas of 2001. This was a U.S UPN network presentation called the ‘Iron Chef USA’. This one turned out to be a failure more because the show was focused less on cooking and more on the other stuff. This show was hosted by William Shatner who walked around the kitchen sampling other stuff than focusing on the cooking and the chefs did not share what they were doing while the camera rarely showed the food preparation.
It was in 2004 that Iron Chef America a production of Food Network worked out to be successful. It was presented to the audience more as a successor of the original Iron chef instead of a remake. Unlike the original Japanese version the Iron Chef America show had a uniform which was much simpler. Hiroyuki Sakai and Masaharun Morimoto were invited to make an appearance in the inaugural Iron Chef America Battle of the Masters to show the legitimacy of the program.
The flow of the episode remained mostly as it originally was where the challengers were required to prepare a multi course meal in a 60 to 90 minute time limit. A theme ingredient was provided to the challengers and who ever used the theme ingredient at its best was honored. 2007 saw the title of The Next Iron Chef.

Cuisine Carbon Steel

Wok do you recommend?
If you have worked in a Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese or restaurant, or with experience in Asian cuisine, Wok which is not recommended? From what I hear, the best are made of high carbon steel. And obviously, the bigger the better. I'm looking for a specific brand, at least, but any information you can share would be great! Obviously some would be better off in the burners on high heat gas … but if the best you can get does not work at all in power, then I will probably get a second to be at least working on an electric burner (or, more specifically, a ceramic-electric) as I am forced to do most of my kitchen in one of these demons, soul-devouring stoves
… Until you can afford an upgrade of gas could also have some tools to use this stupid haha. my neighborhood has no gas lines, providing direct access through it. Would have to have tanks and all.
Carbon steel is definitely the best, if only for the gas: o (Sorry, All Clad makes a decent one and I have cooked with it (the gas) is not sure whether he would recommend for electricity. Have you looked at the Le Creuset wok? Cast Iron holds heat well and could be a good choice for you. Seriously, I read a book kitchen before (yes, read … anyway …) If you search in google books, I found it and is quite extensive information about woks from someone you know. This is the title of "Breath of a Wok 'By Grace Young, Alan Richardson' is a great read and I think it will help you make your decision (while the construction of expensive wish list in the process). Oh, and btw, yes, Asian cuisine is my favorite! I know you're definitely looking into a Westernized carbon steel wok (not a brand but a lifestyle). Unfortunately, even my stove does not get nearly as hot wok magic, but … efforts are still underway: o) Hope this helps! BTW, gas is updated and you will be surprised, do not take what others say, look where your gas lines and where I would have definitely come make a commercial for this: $ 150 cost of plumbing gas lines for $ 75 High Carbon Steel Wok $ 1600 GE Profile Dual Fuel Stove (tried to be realistic this … this is for the masses …), O) infinitely delicious meals prepared daily for you to WOW your family and friends (… you get the point!) Hope this helps!

Nonstick Hard Anodized

???????? Cookware Buying Guide
I'm going to buy a cookware set from Macy's and want to know what material is best???? Hard Anodized Nonstick Stainless Steel Casting Copper Core With Copper
Well, it all depends on what and where you are cooking. Iron cast is great, because they are a great conductor of heat and PAN heat evenly. Stainless steel is great because it has a more uniform surface and is easy to clean. However, I mostly non-stick cooking. It is easy to use and even easier to clean. If I were you I would go with nonstick, but remain open other materials for special dishes. You can skip to the crowd and get a good deal at the same time hope this helped http://frigidaire.stores.yahoo.net/catalog.html to

Stainless Steel Cookware Pitting
Are my deformed safe stainless steel pans?
I just found out that aluminum is not safe for cooking. I've been using aluminum pots for old ever, so I'm quite concerned. Anyway, I'm trying to figure out what is stainless steel and aluminum that is in my closet. I have an old game Coronet never-used "Ultra" 3-ply cookware stainless steel. I use one of the pots and pans for a while and now realize that the background is a bit deformed. What does "pitted cookware look exactly? Strain is the same? I'm a little unsure as to whether it is safe to use. I sure it is stainless steel, but the bottom deformed (not perfectly flat) is a bit strange. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
