Basement floor covering is one of the last things you think regarding when finishing a basement. People tend to focus more on the structural designs initial (for good reasons!) and then when the project is wrapping up, the items such as basement floor covering, paint and finishing touches are handled. That is normal and fine of course. The structural issues in a basement are a big deal obviously. However, when it comes to picking a floor covering for basements, your decision may be a wise or highpriced one. Moisture and mildew may demolish most floor coverings. Even worse, a flooded basement may fetch a lot of headaches. If you use the right basement floor covering up front you may keep out of the way of some issues and even save cash on your budget with the right deal. Commercial carpet squares and tiles have a heap of vantages that make them a perfective choice for basement floor covering. There are 5 reasons why mercantile carpet tile works great for basement flooring.

1. Most mercantile carpet tiles have a hard, rubber like backing. This backing along with the yarn is not harmed by moisture, mold or mildew. In fact, most carpet tile backing schemes have mold and mildew inhibitors built into the backing itself. This built in resistance to moisture, mold and mildew make mercantile carpet tiles perfective for basement floor covering. Also, if your basement floods, the carpet tiles may be pulled up and put outside to dry. Once the mercantile carpet squares are arid and the basement is dry, you may reinstall the tiles. One tip is to make sure you use the mercantile carpet tiles with the hard, stiff backing. Some carpeting tiles come with an integral cushion padding. When installing in a basement, this cushion backing may absorb moisture and is not a good option.

2. Commercial carpet tiles are very easy to install. You may use adhesive to glue them down, nonetheless the loose lay method is best in a basement. You commonly may install the tiles tight sufficient to where an adhesive is not needed. If you don’t have to glue them down, pulling them up later if the basements floods will be much easier. This also makes tile substitute later very easy. In fact, if you don’t glue the mercantile carpet squares and tiles down, you may pull them up and pressure wash them off if they ever become very soiled or stained.

3. Basement floor covering may see a lot of foot traffic if the garage is adjacent to the finished area. Commercial carpet squares are built to handle heavy traffic. These are the same mercantile carpet squares that are installed in airports, hotels, restaurants, etc.

4. Commercial grade carpet tiles may be applied to formulate distinguishable looks on a room or area. Basement floor covering doesn’t have to be bland to be functional. A very general option when using mercantile carpet tiles is to use 2 or 3 colors to make checkerboard or contemporary designs. Not only does the use of assorted colors (contrasting colors do great) give the basement a architect look, but it hides the seams where the carpet tiles come together.

5. Carpeted, mercantile grade tiles may be a very cheap basement floor covering if you hunt the deals down. Normally, carpet squares and tiles may be expensive, but you may find a good deal of wholesalers that trade carpet squares for $.89 per square foot or less. If you have a 10 ft by 200 ft finished area, that’s only $89 for the entire basement floor covering. By doing the installation yourself, you will save further and added cash over other flooring choices as well.

5Oversized Flour Sack for multipurpose use in the kitchen
By Patrice Bonnefoi
I could not do anything around the kitchen anymore without the help of these floursacks.
I use them to cover food after preparation to keep the flavor in, wrap the bread into for longer conservation, or just quick and easy cleaning of the excess of sauce on presentation plates. I even use them to wipe the counter down from time to time and of course to dry my hands.
These towels are very high quality, nicely woven, almost clothing quality. They absorb a fair amount of liquid which allows for a few mishaps. They come in 12 which just with a few packs is more than enough for a good kitchen. I washed mine several times already and they still perform flawlessly.

5Excellent quality – can’t beat the price!
By B. Brown
I wish I had been purchasing these for my kitchen all along. It is sometimes harder to find the towels in this smaller size. Good, heavy duty material, perfect for my embroidery projects. Did not shrink when I washed them and there was just a minute amount of very fine pilling here and there that will probably come out in later washings. Doesn’t effect the quality of the towel at all. I would definitely buy these again.

5Yep, Yep, This is Them….
By kimpur
I have been looking for these since I found some at Wal-Mart, but couldn’t find em later when I needed a fresh batch. You won’t know how you ever did without these. For all kinds of jobs, all kinds of people…in the kitchen, outside, in the car, wherever you can imagine a need for a wipe or towel. Hubby found them, and I think he’s the one that ran off with my original batch…great for just out in the yard working sweat wipes!! I plan to buy everyone their own dozen for Christmas, just so they will leave mine alone. For a dozen, this is a good price, too!
