Great calderos, wrong description

The description for these calderos is wrong, they don’t come with glass lids. Imusa is the top leader in calderos, they are great and last forever. Calderos is the only pot that you can cook “pegao” semiburned brown sticky rice, which is very popular in Puerto Rican rice cooking. Amazon has the cheapest price on these and many sizes. I keep buying them because people that come over for dinner keep asking me where to get them and since they are so low in price here, I just give them away as presents. The following is a better description for them, “The Imusa cast aluminum Caldero is ideal for cooking rice, browning meats and making your favorite sauces. The Caldero seasons and with time will provide a natural nonstick coating. Our NSF certified Caldero is commercial grade and safe for food contact. The sturdy handles are ideal for handling and can be used in your stove top or even bbq grill. The bakelite handle is cool touch providing you for easy handling when removing the lid”

Does not even deserve one star!

I have owned and used a set of IMUSA Aluminum Calderos for the last 10 years. I LOVE them! I use them almost daily and never had a problem with them. That being said, this set is NOTHING like those. They are inferior in quality, they are very thin and the lids don’t form a seal, absolutely essential in order to properly cook a pot of rice. I purchased these as a gift but they are so poorly made that I am returning them immediately. I will be wary of buying anything else from this manufacturer since they no longer seem to be making quality products.

This set is awesome and we use them all the time. They are great for cooking most anything.The longer you have them the better they seem
