Nice, but not water-tight By J. Neall These are nice tins…I use them for my kids lunches. I wish the lids were screw-on though because they are not water tight and are really only good for dry items (or apples or grapes…just no fruits that have or will produce juice).

Great container for little ones By Maryland Mom I love these containers. I use the small size the most — they are the perfect size for my son’s lunch. They hold a pre-schooler size serving of fruit, vegetables, nuts or crunchy snacks. I can fit two or three of them in his soft zipper lunch box along with a small Klean Kanteen, ice pack, and sandwich. I search high and low for reusable containers that he could open by himself (he’s 3). I’m guessing a 5-year-old can probably manage pretty much any kind of plastic container but many of them are difficult for a pre-school age child. I also love the fact that they are not plastic. They seal well enough to keep crunchy items like crackers fresh for several days (i.e. I can pack several days’ lunches at once). I also use them for hummus (it’s thick enough that it doesn’t spill out. I agree they’re not water-tight — for juicy things I use a clamp-top stainless container that I found at lifewithoutplastic.com.

To-Go Ware Stainless Steel Snack Containers – 5 PACK By E. Mathieson I received these containers and put them on the top rack of the dishwasher to wash before use. One normal wash and the stainless is rubbing off inside 2 of the 5 containers. These were never used so go figure. I think I will stick with Lunchbots. We have had some of there containers for over 2 years and they are great.
