Beautiful but one flaw By Stephi Ahn These are beautiful cups that are a pleasure to behold and are just fine for measuring wet ingredients. However, if one is measuring dry ingredients such as flour, you cannot level the flour off with a knife for precision. Instead of having each cup be the exact volume for each measurement, the cups have the measurements etched inside with the line well below the level of the top of the cup, making leveling off impossible. Admittedly, one should measure dry ingredients with a scale for greatest accuracy, but the cups are advertised as being good for a “multitude of baking ingredients” so I don’t think that’s true.

tres fab! By K. Fisher i have these lovely little measuring cups and i think they’re divine! one thing that i’ve been told about them is they’re for liquid and dry measuring. so i find them truly useful and versatile in my kitchen. when i use them for liquid measuring i fill to the line and when i use them for dry measuring i level them off at the top of the cup. i’ve never had a problem with my baking recipes when measuring the dry ingredients by leveling them off at the top of these cups. i think they’re practical as well as fashionable! i would totally give these as a gift and/or recommend them to my friends and family members that love to bake and want cute items in their kitchens. nigella is a wonderful designer! i adore every kitchen tool, from her line, that i own!

great for baking – and pretty on the counter By Kib Kib Received these as a gift several years ago and they are just as pretty as the pix indicate (nice bell-shaped cups with matte-finish on the outside and shiny gloss on the inside). I use them to measure wet and dry ingredients for my favorite cake and have had no problems. I am not a precisionist baker, so I tend to just loosely fill up the cup with flour just about at the interior line. I used to line these up in my windowsill since they are so pretty, and this makes em easy to grab when baking. They are sturdy and go through the washer great. Only bummer is that I finally dropped one on the tile floor and am now debating how/where to find a replacement “1-cupper”
