Disappointed in the lack of pictures.. By Ana I was so excited about this book, having read the description and seen the cover, but i must admit i am pretty disappointed. There is a ton of text, and just not enough pictures, for this style of book, and the photos and layout it does have are not very inspiring. Martha Stewart’s take on vintage christmas crafts are head over heels above what is in this book. The author’s other books are so fun and colorful, so i was expecting more of the same, but it feels as if this book was thrown together to get it out before the holidays. Who wants to read long descriptions of christmas tree styles and ornaments from the different eras with so few photos or accompanying graphics? On sale, not a bad book, just not a great one..

Have yourself a very vintage Christmas:Crafts, Decorating Tips, and Recipes 1920′s-1960′s By MAGGIE I purchased this book as a gift for one of the women in my family. We looked through the book and got a kick out of looking back………….had forgotten some of the items that we reviewed. It was heartwarming.

another classic “old-tme” Christmas book By Wallace McMillan Once again, the author has struck the right chord for me in my quest for all things “vintage” –I was fortunate to grow up in the late 40′ and 50′s, so all of the old references and images really resonate with me. Many hours of enjoyable reading and remembering. Wallace McMillan
